You must have heard about the recent incident which made the news headlines last year of a monkey attacking people. According to the recent reports, it was found that a male chimpanzee named Travis attacked a woman named Charla Nash suddenly .The news incident which saidmonkey attacks woman spread like fire even to Ireland and China. This disastrous monkey was born at Festus, Missouri at the Missouri Chimpanzee Sanctuary. When his mother died accidentally he was adopted by Sandra and Jerome Herold when he was an infant just about three days old. Later he was socialized.

Travis was very friendly with his owners and used to enjoy every moment with his master. He could open doors, search on the internet and do all sorts of jobs as e was taught. No one had ever thought that the monkey would turn so disastrous. Travis was basically a male chimpanzee who had appeared in the television channels of America. The monkey caused severe injuries to the woman completely devastating her nose, ears and damaged her face seriously. The toxicology department found out after taking the owner Sandra's statement that she had given the monkey tea mixed with Xanax when he attacked Nash. Thus care should be taken if by chance you prefer to adopt chimpanzee and want to keep it as pet.Xanax can cause imbalances in the nervous system as the person completely loses control over himself. It can further lead to adverse effects as it may lead to a condition in which the person suffers severely from hallunications, aggressiveness and experiences a stage of mania. It has been explained by the wildlife conservation society of Bronx Zoo that chimpanzees can turn violent and go out of control when under the influence of Xanax.This incident has crated a confusion in the minds of people whether to keep such animals as pets or not. They can be disastrous sometimes if not monitored.  

Once upon a time the forest cover of the world was twice what is there right now. With indiscriminate deforestation and the cutting down of trees have struck right at the heart of the mother earth. There is a complete loss of vegetation and the natural habitat for the animals. As a result lots of animals have come out of the hiding and have melted into the urban place. In countries like India where the population is more than a billion people the forest area has decreased dramatically. Recently there have been numerous findings of the tigers in the urban centers of the western India. Also in the recent times we have been bugged by the reports which says monkey attacks woman.

There have been instances when the monkey has fatally wounded people and they have lost their lives. In the Indian capital by the latest count we have around 5000 monkeys and have fatally wounded many people. Even the government is quite powerless to deal with them. They have migrated to Delhi because of the destruction of their habitats in the suburban forest. They are a public nuisance since they don't allow the traffic to run normally. Sometimes they climb the electric poles in the city and try to climb through the high tension electric wires and the stoppage of the power altogether. We need to be very careful in dealing with them because a monkey bite can injure us severely. We must take adequate precautions. Somebody in authority suggested the mass killing of the monkeys however the best we can do is to sterilize them permanently so that if they don't breed they would not be able to increase their population and soon they would disappear.
